Freshman Forward, Jhonathan McKenzie named Co-Mariner of the Month for October.   

Jhonathan has been an important part of  our team this season and has contributed immensely with goals and assist. He has developed a lot this season being a versatile player  where he played in multiple positions to help the team win games. His speed and ability to beat his opponents made a huge difference in games.  Not only was he an impactful player  this season but off the field he's an amazing person. 

We are thrilled to honor freshman forward Jhonathan McKenzie as the Co-Mariner of the Month for October. Hailing from Novato, CA, Jhonathan has been an essential asset to the College of Marin Men’s Soccer team, making significant contributions both on and off the field. 

Versatile and Dynamic Playmaker 

Jhonathan’s impact on the field has been undeniable. Known for his speed and ability to beat defenders, he has been a constant threat to opponents, creating scoring opportunities and shifting the momentum of games. As a versatile player, Jhonathan has adapted to multiple positions to support the team, showcasing his development and willingness to contribute wherever needed. 

Outstanding Stats this Season 

In his debut season, Jhonathan has accumulated impressive stats: 

  • Games Played: 20 overall, 10 in conference play 

  • Games Started: 19 overall, 9 in conference play 

  • Goals: 6 total, with 4 scored in conference matchups 

  • Assists: 6, all coming in conference play 

  • Total Points: 18 overall, 14 in conference 

  • Shots: 42 total, 31 in conference play 

  • Shooting Percentage: .143 overall, .129 in conference 

Jhonathan’s scoring ability, paired with his six assists, underscores his value as both a finisher and a playmaker, helping drive the team’s offense throughout the season.
